Ubuntu and WIFI logo.

Since I brought my machine I was hating that Windows Vista came installed in the Net-book and for that reason I was anxious to wipe out Windows Vista and install the almighty Ubuntu 9.10. But before that,  I tried Ubuntu 9.10 Net-book Remix (UNR).

What I can say about UNR? For me seems to be worthless and too compact. There is when I decided to go back and install the regular Ubuntu 9.10. Everything went fine except the same that always gives problem, the WIFI card. My Net-book had Dell Wireless 1510 Wireless-N Mini-card which uses the Broadcom BCM4322. Who can you know which Wireless Card do you have?

You can run lspci -nn in the terminal and watch out.

Then if you are using the Dell Wireless 1510 Wireless-N Mini-card which uses the Broadcom BCM4322 you can go here  http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php and get the drivers,  follow the instructions and in a couple of minute you are on the Internet!

Run ifconfig to see if the wireless card is up :)
